10 December has been internationally recognized as International Human Rights Day (“IHRD”) since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (the “UDHR”) was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations (the “UN”) on 10 December 1948. Since then, the world has commemorated 10 December every year as a show of respect for human rights around the globe.
