U.S. Ambassador Susan Jacobs, Special Advisor for Children’s Issues, visited Cambodia, October 28-29, 2012 to continue discussions about the Royal Cambodian Government’s plans to resume inter-country adoptions. During her visit, Ambassador Jacobs met with officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veteran and Youth Rehabilitation. The United States continues to have discussions with Cambodian government officials about resuming the inter-country adoption process and has made no decision or commitment about the timing of inter-country adoptions between our two countries to resume.
