The Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (the Torture Convention) was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 10 December 1984 (resolution 39/46).This convention manifests one part of human rights and what each state should do to protect their people from such actions. This convention entered into force in 1992 in Cambodia.
