The member stated of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as represented by the Heads of State or Government of Brunei Darussalam, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Union of Myanmar, the Republic of the Phillippines, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam​ establish the Charter to improve and maintain the regioal security, to improve cooperation in term of economy, politic, social, and culture, improve developement of environment, standard of livings, human resource, and so on.
