On 11 May 2021, Keo Ratana, journalist and publisher of TN TV or TN Hot News Online, was harassed while reporting on a land dispute in Kampong Chhnang. Ratana was covering a gathering of villagers protesting against a decision by the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Court, ruling in favor of a land owner. He said a bodyguard of the landholder, apparently intervening on his behalf, physically confronted Ratana and ordered authorities to detain him. Authorities did not arrest Ratana, due to the presence of many villagers around them.
