The International Symposium on Human Rights in Cambodia took place from 30 November to 2 December 1992 in Phnom Penh under the auspices of the Human Rights Component of the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC). Its goal was to bring together national, regional and international human rights bodies to build a foundation for the protection and promotion of human rights, particularly following elections and UNTAC’s withdrawal from Cambodia.
