On Sunday, the 13th of January, Accused Nuon Chea was admitted to the hospital for severe bronchitis. Thus, the Trial Chamber convened only briefly on the 14th of January before adjourning to give Nuon Chea’s Defense Team a chance to consult with the Accused as to whether or not he waives his right to be present.
