On 1 October 2012 Mam Sonando (the “Defendant”), owner of Beehive Radio and President of a well-­‐known non-­‐governmental organization (“NGO”) called the Democrat Association, was found guilty of six charges (the “Charges”) under the Penal Code 2009 (the “Penal Code”) after a four-­‐day trial at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court from 11 to 14 September 2012 inclusive (the “Trial”).
