LGBT Tourism is becoming increasingly popular all over the globe, and nowadays presents an important source of income for many employers, and a key driver of socio-economic progress by creating jobs and enterprises, infrastructure development and export revenue. The media often refers to the pink dollar as money spent by so-called DINK-travellers - same-sex couples with Dual Income, No Kids, promoting them as the ideal consumers. LGBT tourism has positive economic and social effects as well as a positive impact on human rights.
