On 10 April 2021, the Ministry of information released a letter announcing the shutting down of the K01 TV online news outlet and the revocation of its license. The Ministry of Information said the news outlet had dissimenated "information that incites malicious intent to cause social unrest in violation of journalism and business contracts" under Article 1 of Proclamation No. 268. The revocation cames after Keoung Sola, the owner of the website, posted several videos which allegedly talked about Cambodia's fight against COVID-19. The Prime Minister even ordered K01 to delete the videos posted. Afterwards, Keoung Sola publicly apologized for his "wrongdoings" and deleted the video. The Information Minister, Khieu Kanharith, is allegedly reviewing this case.
