Sokleang left her home on the morning of Monday, August 27, 2012 and disappeared for two days. She was found in Tuol Krosang Pagoda, located in Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh on Wednesday afternoon, August 29, 2012. Sokleang is now at home safely in Kamong Siem District, Kampong Cham Province.

The complaint, which was filed on behalf of affected families by Inclusive Development International (IDI), describes a litany of problems with the involuntary resettlement process that have inflicted undue hardships on hundreds of poor families. The CRP registered the complaint on September 4, 2012.

    I Write to you in response to the accusation by General Prayuth Chan-ocha, chiet of the Thai army, that some Cambodian Muslims have joined the violent insurgency in the deep south of Thailand and that they are providing indirect financial support to the insurgent networks. The implication is that Cambodian Muslims may soon be prevented from entering Thailand from Cambodia or will at the very least be monitored aggressively.

A trial is scheduled for Sept. 11. He faces up to 30 years in prison if he is convicted of all charges. This paper is summarizes the case and concludes that the charges against Sonando are unjustified and an attempt to suppress free speech. In the continuing absence of credible evidence, Sonando should be released immediately, and the charges against him should be dropped unconditionally.
