ILO-Better Factories Cambodia Returns to Public Disclosure of Assessment Findings
The International Labour Organization’s Better Factories Cambodia (BFC) program today announces its return to a practice of publicly disclosing individual factory information collected in its assessment reports. BFC’s disclosure initiative makes it the only program in Southeast Asia to use greater transparency to accelerate improvements across the garment sector. More than 450 Cambodian garment factories are registered with the BFC program.

EU’s Everything But Arms initiative is impoverishing Cambodian farmers: Trade scheme must be reformed to safeguard human rights

Cambodia: Investigate Killing and Injuries of Election Protesters
(New York) – The Cambodian government should promptly launch an independent and impartial investigation into the apparent excessive use of force by security forces against protesters that killed one person and seriously injured at least 24 others, Human Rights Watch said today. The government should publicly direct the security forces to abide by international standards on the use of force and firearms.
