The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is an​international treaty which contains global minimum standards and ethical principles on how society should view and treat its children.​ It is a comprehensive statement of the rights to which children everywhere are entitled, and encompasses civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights related to children.​The Kingdom of Cambodia acceded to the CRC in 1992.
