  • 13 injured in lunch-shed collapse

    PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- 13 garment workers are injured when the lunch-shed they were in had collapsed on them at the Hong Kong-owned Top World Garment (Cambodia), Ltd. factory. The shed which is used by workers for breaks and having lunch fell around 12 o’clock in the afternoon, according to Yanrath Keopisey, an official from the Free Trade Union of Workers, who was at the scene.

    PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- The National Rescue Party (NRP) held their second demonstration on Monday with around 3,000 people in attendance. After leaving Democratic Park, the protestors marched on Paster street to present petitions to targeted buildings, but Anti-riot police prevented them from marching any further, saying that the permission for the march was not authorized by the Ministry of Interior.
